The building of a foundation for a 33ft Monopole.
first step The first step is to dig a whole 6ft. x 6ft. x 3ft. and also dig the trench from the hole to the place where the house meter is. We tack weld the frame together and set it on cinder blocks. The you start hand tying the rebar.
step 2

This is a better view down in the hole. Also note the concrete form on the top. We use 1x8's so the foundation is 6 inches above ground. This one is done with 1x6 for those of you that noticed.

step 3 The tower bolt are put on the templates with a 2x4 between the template rings. The 2x4's are then placed on the concrete form and leveled.
step4 The second layer of rebar is then attached and the tower bolts are hand tied to the rebar with the bolts J turned out.
step 5

The PVC with an 90 degree elbow is placed in the center of the bolt pattern and runs to the ditch which goes to the house. We added extra rebar on the top for the part that is above ground. Then we have the concrete brought in and finish off top and let it stand 28 day and we are ready for the tower.

This is a 33 foot finished foundation. The boards holding the concrete are 1x8's . Two 2x4's are holding the templates apart. Please notice that the bottom nuts are not in the cement.
Nuts Please note that the threads are above the concrete. From the cement to the bottom of the nut is about 1 3/4 of an inch.
You use 40 pieces of number 6 rebar cut to 5 feet for the 33 foot foundation.
The templates are ones that we made especially for this.
